Hi,

Is there a way to assign an icon to the site, so that it appears next to the website description in the web browser, once you make the site a shortcut? This is the same icon that appears next to the URL in the search bar?

Regards,

Damien

That's named 'Favicon'. You only need to create such an icon (there are free websites to do this for you) and upload it to the main folder of your web space. That's it. :)

Thanks for the response,

I tried that with no joy. I had an icon that I had used previously with another tool, and renamed it to "Favicon", but it doesn't show up.

Its just a standard .ico file as far as I can tell?

Damien

Upper and lower case as well as the extension name is important. Try 'favicon.ico'. And it's apparently not really a standard .ico file, there are some restrictions for it.

Yep I did some more research and tried "favicon.ico" and that worked fine.

Thanks for the feedback.
