WebsitePainter 2 is now available. It comes with lots of new features and improvements, like table support, image galleries, master pages, justified text, new templates and more (see details below). Best of all: WebsitePainter 2 is free for existing users. Just download and go. :) Get the new version here: http://www.ambiera.com/websitepa... Details of the changes: - Added support for tables. Tables can contain simple text and their cells can be splitted, merged and edited. Background, gradients and colors can be configurated for each cell freely. - Added the 'image gallery' element. With this, it is possible to easily show a big amount of smaller images on the website, and when clicked on them, a bigger picture version will be shown using either a layer box, a window popup, a new tab or an existing image on the page. - Added support for Master Pages, a simple mechanism to share parts of the website between different pages. With this feature, it is not necessary anymore to create the same content twice. See documentation for details on how to use this feature. - Added 7 new modern website templates - It is now possible to change the properties of multiple selected elements at the same time. - Added support for justified text - Added support for hidden form fields. - Added Greek language translation - Added Bulgarian language translation - Right-click behavior in the HTML view improved: Right-Clicking doesn't change the current selection anymore if not wished. - Resized images are now shown with a much higher quality in the editor - Added a way for websitepainter to recover damaged .wspd files when loading - Fixed a problem causing scrollbars in the iFrame in Firefox not to work correctly - Fixed a bug causing background images of shapes not to be emebedded in the .wspd file - Fixed a bug causing images not to load sometimes in slide shows, when the image file name contained non-ascii characters - Fixed a bug causing borders of images not to be rendered - Fixed a bug causing images to disappear if they are deleted on disk and their filename contains a unicode character |

I was actually waiting for this release to start working on a page that I thought of a while ago Good job! Of all the goodies the Master Pages concept is something I've been longing for the most. |

Excellent. It's funny though, I though that tables were considered 'Web 1.0' these days and DIV was the only true path! |

Hi, sorry for the newbie question... I need to enter 'tabular data' in a page. I have a .txt file with the data divided by 'tabs'. Is there a way to put those data in a field in WebsitePainter without losing the columns format? Thx |

Hm, you can use the new 'table' element, but you still would have to copy and paste all the elements manually, I guess. If that's what you meant. :) |

hi Niko, just made a short test of the new release. It seems that i can use the program now for my or better my wifes needs. Excellent job, great release. Many thanks for the work to all involved people. It's nice to see that you try to integrate the wishes we users have. Regards from Berlin Michael |

Nice improvements I've tried to use "master master pages", that is to say using a master page which is using itself another master page. I does not seem to work however: maybe could you try to improve the system so as to allow "recursive" master pages? |

Hm, I actively prevented master master pages, to prevent circular references. But yes, with a bit of work, this could also be possible. Maybe in a future update. :) |
