Over the years I have downloaded a few of the different apps from Ambiera without any issues whatsoever. That is, up to now. After reading some of the RocketCake tutorials, I decided to go ahead and download the Windows version of RocketCake to give it a try. And as soon as I click on the download link, my computer's Panda Antivirus software jumps in to action and redirects me to this: http://download.pandasecurity.co... I am the first one to admit that I am not an expert in web security, but I at least know enough to know that when my own computer's antivirus protection software starts screaming danger, I take notice and obey it's recommendations. So, is anybody here able to tell me why is this happening to me? |

WTF, no, they are wrong. There is no malware in there. I programmed RocketCake myself. I'll see if I can contact Panda and have this corrected. Try testing with another anti-virus package if you like, it shouldn't find anything. Aparently, this Panda Antivirus thing sucks. |

Update: I tried to contact them, but they won't accept my mail since I am not a customer. Maybe you could do this with your customer email address or number? |

I tried to communicate with Panda by way of email and through the desktop console of the app itself, but none of that worked. I got an error when I used the customer service link built in the program and 2 days have passed since my last email to them without no replies. Well, enough of that then, I went ahead and uninstalled Panda from my computer. As far as the free antivirus apps out there, Panda is pretty good at it's job, but if it comes at the price of some false positives like it was in the case of RocketCake, then I will look for another antivirus. For now, I will use Windows 10's Defender app until I study my options and find another better one. As soon as I install RocketCake again, I will give an update soon...... |

Thanks, good decision. |

Well, I just installed RocketCake and it went without any problems. Windows Defender antivirus acted like RocketCake did not even exist at all, so that's good. Now, on to my first impressions of RocketCake..... After playing around with the interface a bit and checking out the edit tools, I can say with certainty that RocketCake is a true WYSIWYG editor. What I really like about it, it's not as heavily bloated as some other ones like Dreamweaver. Currently I am using for my web projects the online only visual editors from Wix.com and the Zyro site builder. But what I really want is a desktop solution that can give me a similar user friendly experience as these other 2 editors I just mentioned. And that's where RocketCake comes in, I think I found what I was looking for. Thanks for your good work, niko. |

Nov 2017 and I just upgraded to Rocketcake 1.5 Frpm 1.3) soon after installing Panda Security. - with the same issues described here. |
||||
|
Yeah, uninstall that crap Panda antivirus and replace it with something that works |
||||
|
Panda antivirus alert might be due to *.RCD might using some encrypting algorithm to change format. CONSIDER that niko |

False-positives by anti-virus companies are always annoying, and happens to the best of developers. It's how the AV companies stay in business, so you keep buying their "protection". VirusTotal.com says that RocketCake v2.0 is safe and clean: https://tinyurl.com/ycu6ro4s I'd be interested to hear why RocketCake uses a keyboard hook, though? See: https://tinyurl.com/y7xgxbt4 |
