Is there no way to get distant 3d sounds to actually be quiet without using ESEO_LINEAR_ROLLOFF? They go down to about 25% of their normal volume and stay there no matter how far away I get.
I'd like to use ESEO_LINEAR_ROLLOFF, but enabling that disables ESEO_USE_3D_BUFFERS and without ESEO_USE_3D_BUFFERS sounds no longer smoothly transition from left to right speakers when I walk past them, instead they just instantly go from 100% left to 100% right.
ESEO_USE_3D_BUFFERS also flips left and right speakers, btw.

Did you use setMaxDistance()? This causes the sound to stop attenuating after it reaches the max distance.

Both with and without setMaxDistance I can hear sounds from anywhere on the level. I've upped the rolloff to the maximum value (would be nice to be able to set it above 10) to try to tweak how far I hear stuff, but...

Strange, usually this should work. Could be your 3d audio driver is messing with you.
