here is a short preview of my work on a First person shooter for android.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQWG35g1KOE

im currently focused on the weapons system so dont mind the surrounding environment.. its pretty standard.
i filmed this with my Phone since screen capture software stutters...
also dont mind the green cursor, it looks weird on windows but works well for android device.
enjoy!

Thank u niko:)

All weapons have the scripted behaviour 'move between 2 nodes' and i have made 2 of each weapon... a 'shooting' and a 'walking' weapon.
Thats how i got the movement effect done.
Many more weapons will be added.
Once all weapons are added it is easy to place them in the map where i want them because all u have to do to pick them up is walk over it:)
I have found a great website with tons of free downloads for 3d weapons.
I also have the developer license for google ready so i hope that with some hard work the game will be release later this year.
If any1 would like to test the apk file on his or her device please let me know:)

This is recorded directly on device with a free app so the quality lacks a bit... Sound is also included.

i tried using lightmapping, but i have an issue....

i have placed a point light in the hallway, but the walls dont stop the light... so the light is also visible in the other room somehow...
if i make the radius of the light very small its almost not visible anyore...
i want to make it look like its really the lamps that bring the light, and the light should not be visible in the room next to it...

any ideas?

Do you have Occlusion (I think thats what its called) enabled in the attributes of the room meshes? Also the light mapping isn't 100% perfect, there will be slivers of light poking through the seams between the floor and walls. Also did you create the rooms from a 2d map, then manually edit the mesh's vertexes? I noticed that doing that can have adverse effects on the lightmaps.

Hmm occlusion might be it, i will do some more testing with lights. So far i have not been working with lights very much. Thank you for the tips i will look at it asap.
It might not be 100% perfect but at the moment the light just shines trough the wall completely illuminating the other room... Hahahhaahhaha

I have done a police siren light before but now i need a 'normal' light and i cant do it:)

Also, Make sure that the mesh' render mode is set to Lightmaps, not dynamic or none.
