I'm having the same problem with the facing towards player, I really think there needs to be a follow behavior, then you could set the move speed to 0 and it would face towards you. I can't help you there, although I'm almost to the point of trying to pay someone to script a behavior for following/chasing.
I can probably help you with shooting though. Do you mean having the enemy shoot or you shooting? there's a preset for both, but I usually put together my own system using variables.
