Hi everybody, I ran into a strange problem: After having changed the HDD to an SSD and restore all data via Time Machine, first of all I had to re-link every picture or link to a pdf file etc. manually - for whatever reason. Second, one of my rcd files refuses to preflight locally, store into a local file and - worst - upload to the internet. Again, it is one of the files but the one with most inks to local pdf files. Therefore, restarting the whole project ist not really an alternative. What else can I do? Regards Marcellus |

Are you maybe using the sandboxed version of RocketCake? Meaning the one from the Mac App Store? You might have lost all the file access permissions with your upgrade. So if this is the case, a simple fix would be to use the Non-Sandboxed version: Just download RocketCake from this website and use that one instead. This can access all the files without those Apple restrictions, and you should be fine. If this wasn't the problem: Could you clarify a few points? What do you mean by "refuses to preflight locally"? What do you mean by "breaks down?" What happens? |

Thanks, Niko, for your quick answer. I downloaded and installed the version supplied on your homepage, deleting the local version and reinstalling a clean new one. Anyhow, my license key was still active. So, probably, even with AppCleaner, not really everything had been deleted. The fact is that Rocket Cake stops working, showing the rainbow colored running circle, and has to be shut down using the ctrl+alt+esc menu. The same happens if I try to publish to a local file. The latest effects here is, that the "page" has been created anyway. What else I can say is that other rcd files continue working properly, maybe a little slower than used to. But, this is not a scientific result. |

Strange start - weird solution ... After having deactivated the AVIRUS protection shield on purpose Rocket Cake ran properly. Can you explain this? Maybe other users might be interested, too. |

Ah, makes sense. Nice that you were able to solve this. Yes, anti-virus software usually cripples a lot of developer software, simple because it does things usual software doesnt. (In this case, uploading stuff to webservers). Just get rid of it. |

Death Penalty Plus: Copying some 7,5 GB of data between two local files took estimated 2 hrs. Now, reduced to 4 min. |
