So here is a short wrap-up of what my routine is when working with RC: First I create a new folder on my local disk and give it the name of the project I'm going to start. Here I'm using the website which I just recently created for a winery https://weingutschickjugenheim.de/ Since this is the 10th version of the website I named my folder /weingut v10 current/ Within this folder I create subfolders: In the /assets/ folder I collect copies of the images I'm going to use for the website. In the /www/ folder I hold available other files which I will need to upload, but which are not created by RC, e.g. my favicon, a .htaccess file and other stuff. The /www_upload/ folder is the place where RC will save its output files once I have clicked "Publish to local disk". And finally there will be the .rcd file of this project which materializes when I click "Save" in RC and point RC to this folder. The /www_upload/ folder fills when I click "Publish to local disk". There are all the RC outputs, including the /rc_images/ folder, i.e. all the stuff you will have to upload to the server. Also, before you upload, you can try and test your website locally. Just double-click the index.html to see whether and how the website works. Now you are ready for uploading your website. Open FileZilla, login to your server, and navigate to the local folder where you have stored the RC output. In my example this would be the /www_upload/ folder. Now you would just mark all items which need to get uploaded, right-click, and select "Upload". In my screenshot the upload is already done which is why the marked item are already visible in the remote folder.
