Hi! I got my website online and I did a little change to the menu on the left: I inserted an instagram icon (with link to instagram page). I saved it, and I uploaded it. But the site being online won't show it at all.

Does anybody have an Idea what might be the reason for this? It's like the master page doesn't want to be updated

Thank you! :)

did you also publish the master page? did you refresh the browser [F5]? or clear the browser cache.

Yes.

Yes

or clear the browser cache.

Yes.

I also tried to have a look at the page from different devices. I don't have a clue...

Maybe its an issue with the host?

could it be that you have published to the wrong folder?

If you click "preview", does it then show it for you?

How did you upload it? Using RocketCake? Try uploading again and uncheck the box to only upload modified files, maybe that helps.
If you use an external FTP client, try uploading again, maybe you've not upload it completely?

Some servers will cache webpages unless you tell it not to, even though the html headers may say 'dont cache'.
A solution that worked for me was to add a file named .htaccess with this content:

Header add "Cache-Control" "no-cache"

to the web directory.

Thanks for your many feedbacks.

In the RocketCake preview it's being shown perfectly well.

I'm uploading the files via drag&drop to the web host.
All pages work well (and the initial master page as well).

I'll check all your advice and let you know.
Fingers crossed

MASTEPAGE UPDATE:

SUCCESS!

The issue was a missing linked file for the icon...
So the pic wasn't being shown the whole time. Luckily I found it out at last... (by checking the source code in the browser of the published page). I quite feel like a hacker now that I managed find the issue and sort it out

Thank you all for all your tipps and support!
have a lovely weekend!
