Import - usage of my own css

Team,

another one that came up during the testing phase.

I fully understand there is no "import for html files" as this is something really hard to achieve. So for sites I want to move to RC I need to create a Master-Page, with all my Layouts and the stuff I would like to have and use it.

But is there a possibility to use my own css styles? E.g. I have one where I show a picture and on 'mouse-over' the picture goes a little bit more transparent and text appears in front of the picture.

I already recognized I can add additional code into the css in the paid version, but can I do that in the Master-Page? Is it then used in all pages relying on that Master? I'm still using the free version and will switch asap after my Q's are answered ;-)

YES!
Any page you check/include at the bottom of the Properties box will have all that the master page page has.

Header/footer, menu, and or pictures. That is, any containers that you have above or below the Content Placeholder will always show up.

When you make a change to a master page it will populate through all the pages that reference it.

Also you can have more than one master page/template and not limited to just one,

(Make sure you don't have the master page reference itself. It will whack the menu out. Like coping a page to make a MP.)

Wow :-)

Just to fully understand, does that mean I can create a Master with just the header and footer and in-between the Content Placeholder. Call it master1
Then I create another Master, call it master2, with the let's say 2nd level header and footer and an Content Placeholder in-between. This one has the master1 as his master.
And then build my real pages based on master2 which is itself using master1.

Am I right?

Not sure about the double master page working, I doubt it. And not sure why you would need it or what you're looking for.

You can have as many nav. bars or footers as you want. And use the nav. menu in the footer with links. The nav. menu has layered dropdowns also. The RC home page has a double bar.

With a little work you can also create a nav. menu that just stacks up and never turns into a hamburger menu. Just use styled buttons with links.

It's all about containers, containers within containers and features in the containers. And using breakpoints. Takes a little getting use to but it's super flexible. The beauty of RC.

Go to YouTube, search rocketcake and check out the videos. The HunTechnic ones are ok. Also try the search function here on the forum. Look back through the forum pages. Also check out the News link on the home page and see what features have been added over time.

Regards
Donald

I tried "masterpage inside a masterpage" and it didn't work.

But, man, RC masterpages rocks!!
