Do I have to recreate the images folder?

As I understand it, if I 'Publish to the Internet' via ftp, all html and css files will be uploaded to the destination folder on the server, but what about the folder containing the images (default 'images')? Is that folder also uploaded to the destination folder, or do I have to recreate the images folder separately and then upload the images into it?

AFAIK, that folder is also uploaded, yes!
