Does Video clip works for 2D overlay? Anyone have issues loading video clip on CC?

works on 2d overlays but for some reason I had the video top and bottom cut short so it would not fill the whole screen.
I instead played the video on a 3d mesh single plane and it fills the whole screen then but you have to have the camera in front of the centre of the 3d mesh at the right distance to get full screen.
