Is it possible to make the following extension to use the "Output Windows/Message Log" in the scenegraph explorer?:

....When a node's action is clicked/highlighted in the SceneGraph Expolorer, Coppercube's "Output Window" message log opens and displays a stored "description" which can be edited/saved for each node/action/behaviour.

If possible, this will allow to quickly add/edit handy dev notes to the individual actions/behaviours in visual editing and would greatly aid planning for visual/non-scripted games.

Thank you....

Your idea is excellent but
I think this is a better way of achieving that:

you can also use an empty node,
name it note_1_A5 or something like that ,
then in your "paper" work notes:
1 - you can add descriptions and
2 - drawings and
3 - wild ideas and everything else that crosses your mind
while developing
4 - while not polluting your project

at the end when your project is finished and you want to publish a production game. Then some code could traverse your project nodes Trees in All Scenes and delete all the unwanted "note_XXX" items.

Just mirror your scene graph in a 3rd part app like Obsidian. You can add pictures, video, links to sites, etc. It's what I do and works better than adding clunky notes to CC. Cheers.

Thanks both. Great ideas. Obsidian - I'll check it out. Thank you.

That looks promissing:

maybe usefull to scan the forum pages and collect all the wissdom there for
building that wiki / knowledge base we all want / need.
I tried with other stuff such as cintanotes etc but its to cumbersome.
