I have the need to access items in a large array/grid. I am primarily a non-coder. Could someone help me and others in the community with CC JS action that allows noncoders to adjust indvidual elements/items in an array.
If it were a paid for action, count me in on buying it:)

I think you can create folders in CC just like the arrays and put your scenenodes as childrens. Then you can simply move them from one folder to another folder by parenting or unparenting them.
Kind of similar to move scenenode in a grid or array, you can use the available actions that make parents and children of objects.

If you still need an array action then let me know.

I guess I wouldn't know how to keep track of which child node the player is closest to, unless an behavior applied to the main folder would allow each child object to act by itself according to "on proximity do something". I think I've tried that before and it hasn't worked.
I've also tried having the player/character shoot invisible bullets and go to the last position on impact, but I've had some wierd jerky camera behavior with that.
Maybe an action would help, unless you can explain to me a way to do it without coding. Thanks JustInCase.

I just got this book I've been waiting for a month to get in the mail. It is excellent! I love it more than Tolkien. "Roguelike Development With Javascript". It kind of connects the dots for me. I can see how things in my other reference material come together. It definetely helps because additionally what I'm working on are medieval/space rpgs. I'm hopeful I can learn more JS on my own.
