Image not found

Has anyone experienced an "Image not found" remark when uploading an image from a folder, that used to be able to upload images?

Also sometimes when you seek the image to be uploaded the source folder only shows titles of images, without the image thumbnails appearing.

Any help appreciated

I once had a problem like this when using Rocketcake from the mac app store. Switching to the version from this website solved it for me - turns out the mac app store version is sandboxed and the web version not.

Thanks for the update. My rocketcake was downloaded from the site and working with Windows 10. It used to work fine. Downloaded latest version same result. Occasionally it will work once and then the image folder's thumbnail becomes blank but the image titles are available.

Check your Windows Explorer settings. I don't see thumbs either, but that's because I have disabled the thumbs view system-wide.
I prefer keeping my image viewer open (I use Faststone Image Viewer) when I'm working on a RocketCake project because that gives me not only the thumbs view but also the image dimensions which is useful for setting the images' max width right.

Thanks micaelo. However the problem is I am unable to update my. rcd file with the new images from the image folders. It returns an "image not found" remark even though the png file exists in the image source folder.

Try re-selecting the file. Does explorer also not show the file? If so then it is probably a failure of your disk or the image is broken.

I haven't seen an "image not found" message yet, but it's my experience, too, that RocketCake doesn't seem to accept updated images (although same file name and same dimensions): I had inserted an image ( a screenshot for a tutorial), then realized that I had forgotten to make a comment in the image, so I revised it and saved the revised version in the assets folder under the same file name, but RocketCake didn't accept it. I guess if I had tried to publish at this point I would have received the "image not found" message.
The solution was to save the revised image under a new file name and to re-insert the image in RocketCake.

I opened a new .rcd file and imported the images. It first notifies me that "the image is very big, should it be reduced a bit?". If I clicked ok then the image would be uploaded to the .rcd page.

It did not happen on the original .rcd project I am working on. other than image not found remark. That makes me infer that there is no problem with the image source folder, but rather the project.rcd file.

The image file folder has the same settings in windows explorer AND I have renamed the the image name.

And another thing is, when these errors happen, that.rcd file refuses to quit.

That's really strange. Is your project very large, with many images maybe? If that's the case, maybe RocketCake is running out of memory? You can try the 64bit version of RocketCake (available on the download page) and see if this improves the situation.

Alternatively, maybe the image is somehow unusual? You could send it to me and I can try to reproduce the issue and then fix it. On this page, click Support -> Contact, there is also an email address printed there.

Many thanks Niko will do that!
