What program should I use? And are they scripts or models? Because I downloaded the Simple FPS Camera prefab and it comes as a .ccp file, but the models also are .ccp files :v

2 methods:

Open coppercube, select "import scene", in explorer window that opens, set file-type to "all", then navigate to the ccp file and click open. It will import the prefab as a scene.

The other way is to drop the ccp file into your Coppercube Prefabs folder and it will appear in the prefab window to import.

No, I mean open it outside coppercube. Like, open a prefab model in blender

@ryandavanzo

Right click the prefab and export the mesh from CC as another file format. If the format doesn't work in your mesh editor of choice, you can try using an online mesh converter.

As Guest said, you can export models from coppercube - but prefabs are not necessarily models - they could contain images, animations, sprites, particle-effects, code, lighting, actions, behaviours, plugins etc - you'd need to open the ccp in coppercube first, to determine what the content of the prefab.

Also be aware that exporting a model from a ccp would lose any additional data held in the scene/prefab, such as lighting and actions/behaviours etc. - but you could re-import that from the ccp file after editing the model externally.

The "Export mesh as" option is grayed out tho. It only works with my imported models

Then the prefab you are using isn't a mesh. I assumed it was an FPS camera with arms or whatnot and you were trying to export that part. I don't know of a way to export a camera. I'm not exactly sure why you would want to do that because Blender has its own camera.

I want to export the scripts. Like, the camera scripts. Or at least the prefab human model to use as a reference

So you're using the CC example FPS game? The problem is those models have been turned into animated meshes. There isn't a way to turn them back into static meshes (that I know of) to be exported.

There's a bunch of example scripts here:

https://robo25.itch.io/coppercub...

You can download a program called MakeHuman to make similar quality models as those in the FPS example.

Added bonus is you can T-pose these models so they are easier to rig anyway.

@laguniboy

Here's a link to your model made into a ccp file. I put the diffuse texture on it. If you need the normal you can do that on your end. Please create your own post to request help in the future.
