Hey everybody. I have an animated character that I designed in Reallusion's Character Creator 4 and upon trying to import this model, it does not look right in the editor. It looks fine in software like blender and I tested it in unreal and unity as well this appears to be coppercube specific. Any ideas? The animated model in question: https://gyazo.com/e39ab846638c1b... How it appears in coppercube: https://gyazo.com/b0d102d9751aa1... |

I dont know if this is the case but i once had problems similar to this one that was because i did not have a bone for vertices in the model that was not animated i dont know if this is the same problem though |

try importing in blender and re-export as FBX from there, sometime it is just FBX version that ruins the model, if you do just like I told you, it might update the version of fbx, and might fix the issue you are having. |

So, we can use the latest blender to export animated fbx to copper? I did and no animation shows up. In fact it's been probably 2 years since I touched Coppercube just because I was never able to import animations to it. And no, I don't want to use Mixamo because it only animates humans, not doors, not car wheels, not animals... Do I need to give a special or specific name to the blender fbx animation for it to show in Coppercube? |

In fact the glTF or glb format is astounding! I exported it and was able to load it even online gracefully. It shows the model fully textured, animated and even shows a list of it's named animations! Imagine if Coppercube did the same! If a browser can do it, why not Coppercube? I saw on the road map that glTF support is there. Should we see this in the next release? If so, have we got a season release window? Next year perhaps? |
