I recently reset (reinstalled the OS) my Windows 11 laptop and, since having done so, CopperCube 6.6 and my game .exe's refuse to work right. https://files.catbox.moe/ovpn1i.... I've updated Windows 11, installed the latest AMD and nVidia drivers... nothing works! When I run the .ccb's, CopperCube 6.6 keeps asking me to install Direct X or else a bunch of things won't work. Well, I did that and that didn't fix the problem, so I went in and manually ran the Direct X installer. THAT didn't fix the problem. CoppperCube still asks to install Direct X. I ran DXDiag and it found nothing wrong. I know this is a system issue, because the .exe's ran fine before. But I cannot figure out why a clean install of Windows 11 is so completely wonky... If anyone has had a similar issue with CopperCube 6.6 asking to install Direct X everytime it runs, and figured out a solution, that would be great. I'm assuming this Direct X thing is somehow tied to the title screen of my game turning black and never going away, leaving only a tiny strip of terrain at the bottom. Ugh! |

Heh! I did that before I saw you post that very same page! And... it worked. Whew! But, question is... why didn't I need to do that originally? The last time I installed Windows 11, I never needed to download that extra stuff to make CopperCube 6.6 work right... why now? Something change in a Windows 11 update or something, since then? Assuming anyone knows. |

probably was already installed on laptop by the factory or the person you got the laptop from. I had to reinstall it when switching to Windows 10 here recently. |

Not likely, as I reinstalled Windows 11 from a homemade USB installer drive awhile back (I got the laptop from Best Buy, when it cost $1,500USD). So it's not running the original factory files, though... maybe Asus Armory Crate implements some of that extra stuff? I haven't installed any of that stuff this time, but I did the last time. Hmm... |

Might be that in your previous version you or the person who owned the laptop, installed some games, or something else that auto updates or installs the latest directX version. That is why you didn' had to install it in earlier versions. |
