All is ok in irrlitch window and the texture is ok, but the model looks like it got burned in fire and looks very blackish. Why?
could it be that I have baked it and so it is "gone" (I don´t remember doing that to that swpecific model, but I know I did some baking a while ago)

Check to make sure you don't have dynamic lighting turned on it the material properties. Also if you happened to import an .irrmesh file I believe it's called, it comes into the scene with dynamic lighting turned on for some reason.

Dynamic light is off and the model was not irrlitch, so I will try to import again. Thanks :)

i've not messed with the static lighting too much with CC but it could just be all you need to do is in your texture window right click the textures of the model and choose reload texture. the texture baking information is probably just on the texture only. It is still probably easier to just reimport it if you have a lot of materials, tho. welcome!

mice model could have had pbr textures on it which CC doesn't support. normally those are split into many textures. you can try combining them in something like gimp or photoshop if you want to use them for your game.

Right click the model in the CC editor, and clear Vertex xolor, sometimes model get's imported with vertex light data, so they might appear dark or bright depending on the vertex color, it might also be due to because CopperCube by default uses (65,65,65) as the default vertex color for the models.
So chances are high that clearing the vertex color might fix, if clearing doesn't fix it, then you can change the vertex color to something bright probably try setting it to default CC color of (65,65,65). Hope that helps you or any other those face same issues :)

Funny I looked at that option and was wondering what's it's all about. I will try and see if I can recover the mice from a backup and if they are black I'll try this...

Clearing vertex colors fixed the problem! thank you Wazhat! although the mice are gone :D I tested it on my bridge handle which was dark as well.
