Hello everyone.
I'm just wondering if I am allowed to rename the irrKlang DLL file?
Background:
I develop an application which targets 3.5. I will perhaps change it to 4.0.
Now, my app comes as a simple ZIP file and if the user just extract it (how he did several times before), there would be an unused irrKlang.NET2.0.dll.
I think there are four solutions:
1. Keep using irrKlang.NET2.0.dll
2. Tell the user to delete everything before update
3. Keep trageting 3.5
4. Rename irrKlang.NET2.0.dll and irrKlang.NET4.0.dll
I want to rename them to irrKlang.dll, but as I mentioned before, I don't know if this is allowed.

Regards, Phil.

I'm not entirely sure if it will still work when you rename the .net dll, but if it does, just do it.

Didn't work, but that's no problem.
BTW: Thank you for developing this really cool library. I love it.

Regards, Phil.

Hi niko,

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but I got a similar question in regard to renaming the DLL. Can I rename it to something else like GameSound.DLL?

Of course, I would still abide by the license and purchase one when I go commercial.

Thanks.

Nick

If it works, then just do it.
