You don't actually think I'll tell you how to do that, do you? There's way too much potential for people to just steal things. Niko really needs to change how games are compiled, because it's ridiculous that this is even possible (and how simple it is). There has to be a way to encrypt the EXE in some way. I know he's said that if someone wants to get assets or other stuff, they'll do it anyways, but having zero safeguards is irresponsible and makes this engine completely unsuitable for ANY kind of serious project. |

I'd tell you, but they'd likely just delete my post. @j9907 While it was stupidly easy to do, don't underestimate the laziness of the masses when it comes to tech-related stuff. The overwhelming majority of people will not bother with it. If you are that concerned with it, you can write yourself a wrapper to further add a layer of obfuscation to it. Telling people this engine is unsuitable for ANY kind of serious project is a bit much. There are tools out there to crack Unity, Unreal, etc.
