It would be very useful if when saving a file a backup copy was made. I've just had a situation where the computer crashed and rocket cake was open. This RCD file is now corrupt and not editable. Although every change is backed up to my NAS the corrupt file was synchronised. Windows history hasn't helped as it has lost the previous versions. oh glum???? |

if when saving a file a backup copy was made If RocketCake saved a backup only upon SAVE this wouldn't really help in case of a computer crash, because then the backup woud/could be corrupted, too. A better solution would be if RocketCake auto-saved every x minutes, over-writing the previous rcd. Til then, while working on a project, just click SAVE from time to time. |

If there had been a copy saved previously then I would not have lost the whole lot. I have increased the frequency of the shadow copy trigger on the volume where the files are stored. Every 30 minutes a shadow copy is made of C:\ so I can get previous versions from several days at least. Once bitten, twice shy! |
