FYI So, I have two sites exactly the same with 16 main pages, button menus at the header and footer. A few images and lots of text. Breakpoints range limited to 10 in X5, 1078 to 664 using all ten. Using 1250 max with RC. Here is the size of the HTML files to upload to your host. Website X5 with 26 folders and 219 files: 18.1 MB Other program with 1 folder and 41 files: 1.61 MB Yes, those numbers are correct, that is not a mistake. (Is Website X5 bloated, or just because of all the extras I don’t need?) I have been using X5 for several years. It was fine in the beginning but has morphed to those who want a shopping cart. It does have some nice features though, but at a cost. Biggest show stopper it uses breakpoints with the header and footer which is not fluid. The rest of page is?! Like many of us there’s features I would like to see, but RC is doing the job for now. Thinking about Linux Mint. Sorry windows 11, you cannot have my firstborn to make an account. Except I must have one Win machine for my wife. (Linux version niko?) IMHO Rocket Cake has the best, simple and most direct user interface of them all. Thanks for a great program niko! |

So you are talking about the generated website - not the website builder app itself, right? That's interesting, yes. Maybe it's somehow about the compression of the images, but wouldn't explain the amount of files. Anyway, nice that you are happy! Linux version: not in the near future, unfortunately, but I think it works nicely using Wine. |
