Hello, does anyone know of a simple visitor counter that can be hidden on the website that is free and, above all, DSGVO compliant? I have already asked Google several times but have not found anything suitable. Thank you in advance for the tip. |

Hello Niko, that doesn't sound bad. I'm sure that more people can do something with it. But the question is what you and I understand by "simple".  A visitor counter that only shows the total number of visitors isn't very useful in my opinion. So the question is what you can implement. So I think the following points would be important: Daily visitor counter for a month (current month / last month) 01.01. Monday: 12 02.01. Tuesday: 15 ... Monthly summary January: 500 February: 612 ... Pages accessed kindernotfallkurse.html: 40 impressum: 5 ... Which pages the visitors come from google.de: 56 bing: 34 ... Overall statistics (all visitors) Visitors / page views With this data it would then be possible to observe the effect of advertising placed. The question is whether you can differentiate between visitors and page views. Does this then run with a cookie? That would probably be too much, but for convenience it would be nice to have the statistics data sent monthly by email. And if it were shown graphically as a diagram. But it doesn't have to be that way. Just to mention: During my research on Google I also came across this counter: https://www.imcounter.com/ It is supposed to be DSGVO compliant, at least that is what is advertised. It does not have all of the features mentioned above, but would have been enough for the basics. But when I read in the data protection regulations that the address responsible for data processing is in China, I decided to stay away from it. Best regards Bruce |

why don't you try google analytics, it will give you all the details that you need, number of total visitors, monthly daily and realtime reports, visitors based on the language and locations, new vs returning visitors and much more insight of your website. Give it a shot it will help you a lot in managing the site traffic and engagement. |
