hey, recently i opend coppercube and it asked me to install directx. i followed theire steps and it still didnt work. i searched around coppercubes forum and all of the solutions that worked for them didnt work for me. what can i do? |

you try downloading this? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/... |
||||
|
yes, i tried it many times. i also tried reinstalling coppercube. but it still doesnt work |

hmm... try installing an older version of coppercube... here is the link to 6.5.1 https://www.ambiera.at/downloads... some people had problems with windows 11 23h2, update windows if you have that one. make sure the path coppercube is in, only has latin alphabet characters in its path... so like C:/Users/User/Programs/Ambiera/Coppercube... or whatnot... probably should also make sure it is installed on the C: drive. also try running coppercube with opengl to see if it works... let us know if any of this helped |

i downloaded the coppercube 6.5.1 version but still the same problem. And the openGL did work, but doesnt have like in directx realtime shadows. i also did try running the directX and coppercube as adminstrator but still no success. |

hmm... what the heck could it be then... go into your coppercube install folder mine is in programs (x86)/ambiera/coppercube... go into the dxredist folder and try running the dxsetup.exe? |

I did try that out normal and as an adminstrator. i looked up my directX version with the "dxdiag" run command, and i got the directX 12 Version, it also mentions that there is no problem. |

check for this folder C:\Windows\System32 and check to make sure the dx9 dlls are there... look for files like d3dx9.dll... i removed all mine and it triggered the message for coppercube to install the dx files |

might need to manually install them there if they are not present |
