I mostly use .fbx,.obj,.dae and .x files. I dont know what the other files are but these are mostly used by 3d models creators. Hope this helped for you

depending whether it's static or aniamted 3D model, when you click "import" it actually lists all the compatible file-types as a reminder - most software does this.
