Hello,

I am trying to create a layout in RocketCake where I have two columns of text side by side, for example English on the left and German on the right, and I want the text to stay within each column without overflowing.

Additionally, I would like to insert images alternately on the left, right, or centered within the text, so that the layout can vary throughout the page.

So far, I have only found the free-floating text option, and when I use containers or tables, the text ignores the boundaries and overflows.

Could someone please explain how to properly create multi-column text with controlled flow and alternating image placement in RocketCake?

Thank you very much!

There are several ways to do this - but don't use the free floating text for something like this, this will move when the size of the screen or the container changes and look differently on different devices.

I'd do it this way: Create a "container with columns" and place your text in there. See any template in Rocketcake, like the first one "IT Solution Strategy", there are three columns in the middle. Works also nice on mobile, where they then move to be one single column in case the screen is not wide enough.

For having text floating around embedded images, just click on the image and choose "center" or left or right align. Alternatively, for a more close floating, right-click the image (or button or whatever) and select "text float -> left or right"

Hope this helps!

I have the problem that the texts are in a Word template. The easiest way would be to copy and paste them. It's for a band's homepage, where the English text is always juxtaposed with the German translation. At the moment, I don't see how I can insert text into a container. When I type text manually, it runs over the edge of the container.
I can't find anything like a tabulator either.

Your should be able to copy/paste the text into RocketCake. But it won't copy the layout of course, only the text.
