I have been wondering for a while what can we actually get using CopperCube - what kinds of games this engine was even designed for. I also sometimes play all sorts of trash from the 2000s. And yesterday I stumbled upon a masterpiece of game dev called Dark Apes.https://youtu.be/ARtuK7dAX4o
And I have to say it seems like this is exactly the level of gameplay and graphics you can easily achieve with CopperCube. I even started googling which engine this game was made on. It has everything we have - static vertex lighting, AI without pathfinding, zero impact from shooting, a camera controller with no head bobbing, and so on. When the nurses on the first level disappear after dying - it really looks like a dissolve shader made by JIC.
So basically if you have ever wondered what kind of gameplay and graphics you can effortlessly get out of CopperCube, here is your answer. This is it.
