Before I start coding a simple one up has anybody done a simple lightbox for images on a page?
If there isn't one I might look again at extensions and see if I can knock a generic one up.
First choice is to use jQuery but vanilla JS is best I think.
I'd be interested in anybody's thoughts.

I haven't seen one yet since the gallery also works for that - but yes - let us know if you a successful creating a component for that.
