I was wondering what you guys are thinking - should I add a carousel to my website? I personally love carousels and that you can add more and engaging content with them. But I've heard that a lot of people hate them. Like they are nothing more like marquees of the 2020ies  . So what do you think - carousels good or bad?

Hi Heinz3D, i personally don't use carousels/sliders anymore. That used to be fashionable. Web designers advise against using them anymore. I especially wouldn't use them in the header/hero section. They waste visitors' time, and nobody has time these days. Websites are scanned or quickly skimmed. The slider might not even contain the relevant information for the visitor. I would present the information to visitors in a different, clearer way. Best regards, Bruce |
