Hello, I’m using CopperCube version 6.7.1 and today the engine crashed while I was working on my project. When I reopened the file, the entire scene was gone and only the default cube appeared. I checked the folder and tried opening all backup files (.ccb.autosave, .ccb_backup, .ccb~), but none of them restored the original scene. Is there any official way to recover a corrupted project in this situation? If needed, I can send the file for analysis. Thanks. |

did you created the backup manually , afaik, coppercube doesn't autosave your project. if you have an exe file of your project from your previous test ,then there are people who can extract the ccb file out of it and provide it to you. but don't pay them if they ask you for a fee to recover your project, just send those exe file to the developer or someone from GV server, there are nice people out there. On forums these days people are more into fooling and scaming others. |

I don't know about recovering an exe file but yes - sometimes CopperCube will not save correctly whether that's an OS issue but I did have corrupted exe file once and so did this to fix the issue: Loaded the ccb file and saved as prefab. Then close CopperCube and restart a brand new load and load the prefab into that and re-save as exe. This actually fixed the problem I had as it reset some things back to default. If you are loading terrain heightmaps, deleting and reloading different ones will also sometimes cause issues with wrong collisions from previous terrains. Sometimes best to save the existing work as prefab and import into fresh new scene. Keeping multiple backups regularly is the easiest fix of course. |
