Hello. When importing a 3D model in FBX format into CopperCube, for some reason the model is mirrored. For example, I imported a 3D model of a sword with an arm, and the sword model is on the left side. However, when I open the model in a 3D editor, such as Blender, the model is correctly displayed on the right side, not the left. How can I fix this so that the 3D model is imported into the engine on the right side, not the left?

Go to animation editor right click in viewport select correct rotation. put the rotation value and you are good to go or change one of the axis Z or X to negative and you will have your character flipped.

I'm having the same problem, I've got a FBX made in Blender 4.3.2 of a right shoe. But in CopperCube the model is mirrored on ccb's Z axis. I've tried using "Correct Rotation" in the animation editor both positive and negative values and nothing seems to "flip" or mirror it back correctly. Only rotate. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a trick to export it from Blender or is there a trick in CopperCube? This is really stalling my progress so I hope someone could explain in detail how to get over this barrier.

OK problem solved. For future reference; model, rig, and animate your model in Blender. Then when you want export it, select the Armature and then shift+select the model. In the FBX export settings set the axis up as Z Forward, Y Up. Next when you import the FBX into CopperCube you'll notice it's mirrored funny, So set it's Scale in the Attributes tab to -1.0,1.0,1.0 making sure that first one is negative. Now your model's facing the right way but it's normals have been flipped (looks inside out). Two ways to fix this is to go into the materials tab and under Advanced Settings, check "Double sided material". Now it looks right! Another way that will get the same result is that before you export the FBX from Blender, go into edit mode on the model and select everything, hit Alt+N and select "Flip Normals". now follow the steps and you'll notice when you set the Scale to -1.0,1.0,1.0 the model now looks correct. You don't have to set the material to double sided if you do it this way.

You don't have to go to blender in order to correct things after changing the axis to negative. Just right click the model in Coppercube viewport and go to modify selection > flip direction of all faces, and it will solve the issue of flipped faces. Already mentioned in my earlier post that you can put negative value in Z or X axis in order to mirror the model so that works. If you hate the negative sign when working with scale.

After puting a negative scale axis,You can also use the modify selection > freeze scale and normalize normal option.

It will change whatever scale your model has to a unit scale i.e. (1,1,1), without actually affecting it visually.
