Page alignment

Niko-

My page is here http://www.ivyleagueenglishpartn... but there are two pages - the homepage and the "Fees, Document Submission & Payment" page - where the content is skewed to the left. By contrast, all the stuff on the other pages is centered. Do you know what's causing this and how I can fix it? I was going to attach the published files but there's no way to do that here so I just put the link here.

Thanks,

Gary

PS And, yes, I know the photo doesn't come out well on the home page. It's stretched and I'm still trying to figure out how to fix that so it doesn't take the page longer to load as it seems to now.

I didn't look at the source of your site, but it appears to me that the calculator your have there is forcing the page to be aligned like that. You could try to remove the calculator and see if it is ok then. Just to see if this is the reason for it.

What a great page!

I think the photo looks fine to be honest. Your menus are all at different positions. The way I've used to fix this is to check the position in the bottom left box in website painter and make sure that the co-ordinates are all the same on every page. It will make the whole site look smarter too.

Not sure if the calculator is the cause, but move it and see if that fixes it.

I've had a look at this in another site and given it some thought. I'm not sure how you have it set up in website painter but you could move your text box. Check the position in the bottom left of website painter. Don't try and make it centered because it will look different in every browser anyway. If you focus on making sure that the position of text boxes etc are uniform throughout each of your pages you will find that even if they sit differently on someone else's page, they still all look like they are aligned with each other, and that will keep it looking smart.

Yeah, I probably should have mentioned in my original post that all of the text boxes, photos, etc. actually are aligned. In the case of the left alignment of each box, I have it set at a value of 25 in from the far left. I don't see any reason why those two pages are so skewed, it's strange. I double-checked the numbers to make sure that they are all the same in terms of placement and they are.

I found it easier after playing with a few options to make everything in a 'free position' but then I used the options at the bottom left of the screen to fix its position. Have you tried that?

I did have one page where I couldn't see how it was different to pages that did work, and in that instance I simply made a new page based on the one that worked and I then cut and pasted the elements in, and it worked.
