Hi,
I am having trouble uploading my website. I currently have web hosting with netregistry and there is no website currently up there. How do I upload it to my website address?

Thanks

You can either use the 'Publish to local disk' feature of WebsitePainter, and use any FTP client to upload all the files WebsitePainter will create for your on your disk. Or, use WebsitePainters integrated FTP client and let it do all the work for you. In WebsitePainter, select 'publish to the Internet' and enter your FTP adress, username and password. You should have received those passwords and adress from your netregistry hosting.

the "publish to internet' does not seem to work

I am using web site painter 2.0 on a

MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8
HD: 500 GB
Processor: 2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

when I click this then I enter

ftp://supremeducation.com/

and then my ID and password

then the dialogue box shows that the files are uploaded but in fact they are not. I have 3 or 4 different ftp clients on my macbook now and so I know that the ID and password are correct.

Generally, that feature works, as a lot of people are currently using it without problems. But what could be the problem on your web server is, that maybe the files need to be put into a specific folder on your server. For example, some web hosts want you to put all files into a folder named 'html' or 'web' or 'public', or similar. If this is the case, you need to add this folder to the adress, like

ftp://supremeduction.com/web/

or similar. You can check if this is the case either by checking your web host documentation, or simply looking onto your server using an ftp client.
Additionally, I just checked the url 'supremeduction.com' with my browser, and it appears the server of this is down anyway, so maybe there might be some more general problem there?
