Hi.

Is irrklang 32 bit only? Are there any plans to release it 64 bit?

I was hoping to use it as part of a plugin in a 64 bit application.

Hi there

love Irrklang, and was just about to buy the pro version, but then found out that there is no 64 bit version. Why is that ? If its in C++, it should not be too difficult to recompile for 64 bit.
If it planned, when do you expect it to be ready?
No 64 bit version is showstopper for most people these days... my 3D app performs 20% better in 64 bit, so need the app to be available in 64 bit.

let me know,
Søren

On Windows, isn't it just a matter of compiling to x64 in Visual Studio? I've done that with my VST plug-ins and there were very few problems.

If you search on this forum, you'll see that it's planned from ages.
2 years ago it was allready planned.
So you can still wait for a while ;)

I would need a 64bit build too.

I'm porting a C application to C++, and we need to target x86-64, but irrKlang is the only library that is still x86 only.

64 bit support would be really appreciated.

Niko,

do you have any plan to release a 64-bits version of irrKlang ? I might have to build a 64-bits version of our software, which means I would need to have a 64-bits version of irrKlang (it seems to be the only dependency we have which hasn't got a 64-bits version).

Any information would be appreciated, since I am quite happy with irrKlang, and would like to avoid having to integrate XAudio2 instead (which doesn't seem to be a big deal, but if I can avoid that :))

There is now a 64bit beta version available on the download page. You can safely use it already, if it works on your project, then it should be safe, although named 'beta'. :)

On the download page, there is a special 64 bit beta download with the binaries.

Erik, Niko,

I seem to be stupid, can't find the "special" beta version on the download page. There is 1.0.4b ... but can't find in there a 64bit CSharp lib.

Hope you can help me out.
Is the mp3 plugin(dll) also 64bit available ? I want to run it on a 64 bit win8.1 machine.

Thanks !
