Hi Niko, i was just wondering if you ever thought about starting a kickstarter campaign for a 64 Bit version of irrklang? Thus you wouldn't have to spend time and effort on this topic with the hope to sell licenses in the future. I would certainly support such a campaign. :) Best regards, Andreas |

Hehe :) The problem is that most people using irrKlang don't want/need 64 bit support. Think about it: It's probably because no games are really requiring more than 2 GB of memory at the same time at all. And that's the only reason you would create a 64 bit app anyway. Especially since 32 bit binaries run faster on 64 bit hardware. |

Hm ok. I guess a kickstarter campaign wouldn't be successful then... You're right with the memory usage, i think, but it would've been nice to compile on 64 Bit Linux without having to install 32 Bit libraries (which are then installed in different directories on different distributions: sometimes lib, sometimes lib32) ... :) Best regards Andreas |
