Hello,

First of all, I'm wondering if that's still true about sound effects:

" Currently, these effects are only available when using the DirectSound8 driver "

That means sound effects won't work on Linux / MAC?
If that's so, is there an alternative?

Yes, the effects only work on Windows. No alternative for now, sorry.

Thanks for your quick replay. Do you have any info about the future of irrKlang or if that's going to be implemented at some point?

Writing own sound effects for other platforms would be a nice addition as well.
