I'm am pleased to find RocketCake. I have a website with images, movies and of course lots of text. I would like to somehow redo the site with RocketCake but use the materials I have. Suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Thanks!

John

There is currently no way to import existing sites, sorry. If there would be, this would mean that there would be a way to automatically transform an existing website to be responsive. And that's not possible..

Rocket cake will not import html files. It will save html files. You would have to paste the text of your html files, one by one, and save them. Then, open your usual html editor to add your links.

Any graphic images would have to be moved, and their paths changed, as all the images from one page will be in their own folder.

It can be done, but one page at a time, and you would have to assume that RocketCake is trying to set itself up to be your only web editor.

I have an extra copy of ALL files of my existing website that I would love to use rocketcake transform my site's files to a responsive website.

Does Rocketcake Professional allow me to add my existing HTML and CSS codes from my existing website files piece-by-piece, thereby reproducing my old site then a responsive one?

A simpler way is to re-create your website in RocketCake using the appropriate containers. By just pasting in your code, your website will end up looking just like before and not be responsive.

Can you paste the HTML code with the free version? Or is that possible only in the commercial version?

You can, but you cannot save this then in the free version, but it is enough to see how this works at least. There are multiple ways to do this: You can create a HTML Code element, double-click it and paste it there. Or you could use the menu "View -> HTML Code of page" and enter it here. Or you can select any element, right-click it and select "HTML Code
