Does he have a sitting animation? Then just move his position onto there.

You would probably need to animate the character to do so. Whatever program niko uses to make his models which I think is anim8tor

Or, you could make and animate a higher quality soldier with adobe fuse and mixamo without any prior animation knowledge. It works beautifully for me, it just took me a long time to figure out how to convert the fbx into a file that coppercube can import.
