Is there any way to replace a static mesh in the game, instead of creating a different scene node? Like, I have a basic prototype game using cubes and the basic primitives that come with CCB and want to replace the models with my own, but would rather not have to make a new scene node and add in all of the behaviors again. PS: Having copy and paste mapped to Ctrl C and Ctrl V would be really helpful as opposed to the B and J that it's currently mapped to. Thanks! |

The editor does have a "reload mesh from disk" feature, so you could use dummy meshes and replace them later. Then right-click on your node, and use "Reload mesh from disk". |

Oh, okay, didn't notice that, cool! But, I'm using the cube primitives that come with CCB. So, 1) where are they located, and 2) if I replace those, won't that replace every cube that I spawn after? Thanks! |

They are generated in memory, so not based on a file, and you probably can't replace them. Use a mesh on your disk and base your models on that would be best. Also, be sure that if you are going to use animated meshes, best would be to use animated placeholders as well when starting. |
