It seems like there is no path finding in CC. Most game engines these days have some sort of built-in solution to this.
It could be done using an action that allow me to create a path from a specific start and target location which could be the location of a scene node and specify the max height values that would allow the object to move up on stairs and slopes for example but do not walk up on a 90 degree wall and also avoid obstacles, the obstacles could be specified by an extra parameter where I could enter a scene node or group name, or even multiple ones separated by a comma or it would automatically avoid anything with collision.
Other engines also allow you to sort of bake a navigational area in to the map using the same info mentioned above and highlight the are in the editor that an object using path finding can or can not move so you can see immediately if there is any problem with the parameters anywhere.
And there are engines that simply allow you to draw a 3D navigation mesh in the editor that marks for any objects using path finding where they can actually go to on the map and avoid any locations have no navigational mesh or have a collision mesh (can collide with) so the path finding will work around locations can not move through or move to the edge and stop if there is no path to the target location (top of the building for example so it would move up to the building and stop).

Yes, that's one feature that is missing, you are right. It is on the list, though. Thanks for the suggestion!
