You can extend the HTML code in the pro edition (and try this out in the free edition as well). There are multiple ways to do that: Right-click on any element and select "HTML Code". For the page (meta tags etc), use the menu VIew -> HTML Code of the page. To insert code at any place, create a HTML code element in the page.

That way, you can insert new html tags, css styles, attributes, JavaScript/PHP and other code.

Ohh Great!
Niko for 3 years I have used an another software similar to RocketCake but with more limitations and errors (the projects were too heavy, and if for some reason the pc was turned off, the projects were corrupted), I have try RocketCake and I have see the infinity possibility.

Thanks for support and for this software.
Can I put a logo or banner of RocketCake into the footer of my new website? I have an Italian Art Association.

Nice that you like it!

Out of curiousity: which software was that?

The ability to edit the HTML before the pages are generated is really needed. The WYSIWYG editor is nice but it doesn't provide a lot of things that a typical site uses. Sure you can always edit the pages after they are published, but that's hardly maintainable...

Case in point: bullet lists. Used all the time. Not supported by the RocketCake WYSIWYG editor. Others have commented that you can just add a bullet to a line of text but that's really not a bullet list because the text wraps as the page width changes and the wrapping isn't properly indented. Can't use a table because you can't make the row height dynamic. It's a simple thing that can't be done as is but COULD EASILY be done if you could edit the raw HTML.

Yes, adding the ability to edit the raw HTML makes it possible for someone to mess up their page. But that's what learning experiences are all about...

This is a very useful product. I paid for it (I always try to support useful products...) Hopefully it'll get better!!

You are right, bullet lists is the most missing feature. It is very high on the priority list. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi, I'm new to RocketCake, having just downloaded it last night; but I'm very impressed so far!

Adding custom HTML is essential for me, so I'm going to have to buy the Pro upgrade in the near future, but one thing I noticed is that there's no option to insert custom HTML between the <body></body> tags? I only see an option for "Additional attributes in body", so if I specify "foo" then the "body" becomes: <body foo></body>.

This is no good for web code that needs to go between the tags, such as StatCounter code, which must go before the ending </body> tag. So could you please add a way to do that? Same for inserting code between <head></head> tags, too.
Thanks for reading.

You can do this, just create a HTML Code Element and place it anywhere on your page. With that, you can put any code anywhere in your body.

For placing stuff in the header tags, use that menu: View -> HTML Code of the page -> Additional code in header.

You can't do that in the Free version, which is what I'm evaluating. Perhaps a better demo system would be to restrict the size of the website, or limit it to X elements on the page, so that newbies like myself can test everything properly before committing to a purchase?

True, you cannot save the code you write there, but it gives an insight into how it works. Will think about that.

But nice that you like it so far at least :)

Yes, it's very impressive. Well done!

Site-note: I always have to log in again to post here... does the forum not have an option to "remember me"?

I needed this today but discovered lists are not supported yet. :( How soon do you think before the next release is? And maybe make extra HTML visible but not saved with the RCD project files for the free version? I can't test my pages at all at the moment.
