I discovered today (with Firefox) that cookies for this forum expire at the end of the session, which means I always have to sign in when I come back here, and I always get the warning message about cookies. Can this be changed, please? |

Maybe you've set your browser to delete cookies once you close a tab? |

No, haven't done that. All default cookie settings for Firefox. So I take it that it doesn't happen for anyone else? |

Confirmed the same problem with a clean install of Chrome. |

I tested with Firefox version 59.0.3 (64-bit) and Chrome version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit). I logged in immediately before closing each browser so the cookie would be fresh, and then I exited and re-started it, and I was still logged in. Even though my login status isn't stopped at the end of sessions, it does expire very often, probably every hour, but I haven't measured. I'm not bothered by that because I have my password saved in my browsers, so I just push the login button every time without typing the password. I occasionally type long messages, and I am logged out when I press "Submit" because a long time passes before I'm done, possibly thirty minutes or an hour, but I don't lose data because I always write my messages in an external text editor first. More information: I only receive the Cookie Notice when I first visit this forum with a new browser. |

This is what Firefox says for Ambiera.com: I can close the tab and come back without a re-login for maybe 10-15 minutes at best; I also haven't tested it officially. And I always get the Cookie warning when I come back. Every time, with both Firefox and Chrome. Strange that it doesn't for you. |

Ok, thanks for letting me know, I'll have a look what can be done about this. |
