Coppercube 2d Game Showoff Sunnyland Forest demo is enough to show off the capabilities of creating 2d Games with coppercube game engine... This Demo is created in complete 2d. What is in this demo? a new type of Camera controller for 2d games a better proximity/collision detection for 2d objects Perfect animation blending of 2d objects.... pickups, good jump, ladder climbing etc etc... no creepy or messy looking texture, all texture are looking good pixel art.... Watch the gameplay here https://youtu.be/J54owiDoQEA your feedback is must, the frame-rate of the video may be slower due to screen capturing tool, my Apologies for that... Source file will be soon available to Buy/Download at https://neophyte.cf hope you like this Game Demo.... |

This looks awesome, great work! Game really feels like it's made with 2D engine. I'm not sure how you managed to pull this off but it's very cool. What's the memory consumption when played in browser? |

Thanks... For the feed back.... am glad that you liked the demo... And i haven't created a webgl version yet... Because the game demo uses physics engine... Which don't work for webgl target.. And the link is working now... I just forget to add double slash after writing https: hehehe |

I just downloaded your other 2D example with Mario, it's also great but I'm guessing the system in this one is more advanced. Is ti completely necessary to use physics engine? All 2D games I played in last 10 years (not counting the pre-1997 era ) are mostly browser-based & on Newgrounds, Kongregate, Game Jolt, Itch Io & similar web-portals. |

Using physics engine is not that necessary, i have used it for creating a good jump.... Otherwise the jump will look a lil bit faded as you can see in my example of mario.... So it is not completly necessary to use physics engine if you are good with the old jump as if in the mario example... And yup sunnyland demo is more advanced than the mario... In this demo i have used diffrent concept than used in the mario example.... |

How could we emulate the better jump with android deployment? When will this be available - I am blown away with how good this is. Mike |

Impressive, even as tech demo great work! I'm curious, you have done a lot of demos and tutorials in 2D development with coppercube. What inspired you to get into 2D developement? |

Pretty impressive! |

@Karmaconposer i don't know when it will be make available for android device...and i personally don't recommend to port games to android directly as coppercube will provide ccb source file inside the apk.... @ishmaru thanks, i don't see copperube as a 3d game engine.... It is currently impossible for me to create a fully working 3d game with copperube.... As it lacks most of the features which are required to create 3d games.... But for 2d games all you need is just basic physics and some 2d sprites , and there are lots of 2d game types you can easily create with coppercube using minimal coding... So for me, creating 2d games with the engine was always easy to do than creating 3d games... @Niko am glad that you liked it.. |

JIC - I refuse to believe that no one can make a valid 3D game with Coppercube! Irrlicht has been around for a very long time and I am sure completed games have been made with it. Mike |

Well, i am very correct with my words.... I said it is impossible for "me"... To create a complete 3D game.... It can be possible for others to create complete 3D game....i know many people has already created some good games in 3D..😇 |

Out of curiosity what are you missing to develop 3D games? Ive been able to find workarounds that prevenred me drom finishing Galaxy Ranger luna. |

There are lot of things, which i sense is must for creating 3d games... And coppercube lacks them... And i don't find any possible way to do that... Even using the javascript api... Path finding... Ai programming is really bad, shooting following etc...(this can be done via api) Shooting of player ( this can't be adjust with api) Water ( it looks just like an animated texture, no physics for water! Waves should act as waves not just as texture, no matter how strong the wave is , it doesn't even make the object move slightly..) Physics (a very poor or no physics(force, per object gravity) velocity adjusting for z and x axis won't even work, collision stays forever there even after the position of the object changes, adding updatephysics geometry command crashes the app) No proper collison, i hate bounding box collisions, i want to detect collision using vertices... Materials, more materials should be add...(this isn't that much required) No collisin for animated mesh... Key mapping ( if you are using inbuilt behaviors then there is no method to map keys) Ragdolls( it is also not that much important to create 3d games) These are must for creating a perfect game, speciall( Ai, collision detection, path finding and physics) without having these i don't want to go with 3D, i know it will be still possible to create small and classic 3d games... But i will still prefer to create 2d games, but i will surely create examples and tutorials for 3D games... So that people will learn coppercube.. |

Damn impressive! Did you make that art yourself? |

@just_in_case What do you mean by Shooting of player? The player's shooting animation/trigger mechanics or the precision of shot bullet? |
