Currently working on lensflare effect using Particles,physics,bullets and dynamic lightning.... Currently it is not ideal for use in games... hummmm....NOP....a lens flare in a game look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... coppercube cannot do the work actually, perhaps with a postfx, that will be cool to open the engine more to directly programming custom post effect.... |

Bob, those are more like volumetric god rays than a true lens flare. Lens flares are abberations when light hits the lens and causes circular or anamorphic effects, such as circles, rainbows, squeezes of blue light, etc. Look at S2 engine to see really good lens flares. Unity has them, as does Crysis, Unreal and Tombstone engines. I think even Game Guru can do lens flares. Mike |

Sorry for the misleading title but lensflare can be done throught the same technique... And the volumetric lights too.... Currently am out of town in a village here i have no acess to my pc and i can't be active on the forums that much... In a few days i will get back to home and will provide more tutorials... I had a lots of things and projects lying in my pc.. Will try to post them soon. |
