There was a thread on this forum explaining how it works. I just cannot find it anymore...

I looked around a bit and didn't find much. A volumetric fog topic came up but there wasn't any link available... Quite a shame... I have at least a few levels which would greatly benefit from this effect!

I asked the person on You Tube long ago, as I was also super impressed!
I got a reply a couple of months later wich did'nt help me further, something like: Just fiddle around with the particle settings and use a directional light.
Tried it for hours with no success...

The fake fog ccb from pmax is almost as nice though!

The video doesn't contain fog..... It is particles... Which are used as fake volumetric light..... With a shoot action attached to the source of the light which is sun... Along with dynamic lightning turned on for the particles...

Partucles are shooting from the sun only thing is aligning the position and rotation... No. Of particles and size...
If you increase the number of particles or size of particle the game will lag and become slower...
Fog is optional ita all upto you to use fog or not..
Also remember to set the gravity for the particle to zero...so they won't look jumping up and down while shooting.. hope that helps..
