There is now a public CopperCube roadmap available, here: https://www.ambiera.com/coppercu... It's still a bit empty, but I guess it will fill more and more during the next months. It only contains the big items (not bug fixes and similar), but if I forgot something very important, please let me know! |

Great Road Map Niko! My small request... Path Finding ? I noticed Blender has a path finding system used for their game engine, using a Navmesh "navigation" mapped mesh. This would be a huge mile stone for Coppercube and I'd be more then happy to pay extra for this feature.. Enemies walking around geometry and obstacles as the player moves on the map in real time would be amazing. As it stands if you add the "Move to" script..yes the enemy will follow however if there is an obstacle in it's way it will try to move through it then around it. here's blenders Navmesh at work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... |

I'd love a pathfinding feature! :) I want to make a Sims 2-like game and this would be a neat feature! |
||||
|
So... integrated online multiplayer isn't started to develop? |

_PC joystick support _Decals |

@LonelyDesigner I'm pretty sure network protocols and scripting is twice as hard and will take twice the amount of time to implement rather than the other stuff that could be added in a smaller time... perhaps that should be a thing for a later version of CopperCube. |

So basically, there is no profit of creating this road-map.... it doesn't make much sense ... I was regularly peeking through the effort done ( progress bar)... but it seems that they are frozen due ..... not a single change in those purple or maybe violet progress-bar.... Also people are complaining that Developer is doing nothing with this engine, instead he is playing with his government simulator or business related game... I personally disagree with this, @Niko is one man army, he is surely doing something with this engine... he is working on this engine for years.... all he is doing is he is trying out another things.. suppose you love burgers,but one day you thought of eating pizza and you liked it very much then you started eating pizza regularly, but that doesn't mean you are not going to eat burger again.... same is with @Niko, he loves Programming this engine but there are times when you get stuck or bored of something then you switch to something else to relax your mind or to refresh yourself... and then you comeback with more ideas and new logics and then Bammmm! your work is appreciated.. your ideas will work like magic... and everybody is happy again... well am sorry if am making you guys bored am not that good writer after all... All i wanna say is let him do what he is doing stop complaining.. And as winters are gone for long... I am back In the business, will try to create some stuff.... maybe a few behavior or actions.. Any ideas ??? |

Thanks just_in_case, for saying that. Of course we all like updates, the sooner the better. But yes, this is how it works. I myself has several ongoing projects, professtional as non-pro. Switching between them is natural and you explanined the necessity very well. Also, most of us do other stuff as well - raise kids, have vacations, watch films, read books, spends time with friends, etc. So. Patience or try another engine. |

just_in_case: If you need something to work with, I have something for you :-) The possibility to have a "friendly follower", like a dog, bird or whatever, to follow the main game character in a "natural" way, like heading in the same direction close to the main player and within a specifed radius, always staying behind, or on either side without colliding with the main character. Ideally one could also be able to switch to this follower as the active player, and back again. |
