Greets! I'm searchin for a 2D game engine, dreamin and thinkin of an open world adventue/rpg game, but with no experience in code or programin. Coppercube might allow that, but bein not sure, i need your advices, as i haven't seen any tuto about it. Would that be doable? |

There are some very talented people like just_in_case doing 2D games with coppercube, like here: https://www.ambiera.com/forum.ph... But IMO, CC was made for 3D, and doing 2D is very difficult unless you know what you are doing. |

Yes, red that, but tryin the engine, and startin with a 3D scene was quite unsettin. You know, i'm thinkin about somethin rather simple, more like a visual novel/point and click on a world map, but with events and the stats and skills of an rpg PC. And there doesn't seem to be a lot of tutos for that with Coppercube, is there? |

Using Coppercube for 2D games would be difficult because it's made for 3D games... You can use GDevelop https://gdevelop-app.com/ |

Thxs, tried it but i think i found the prefect option: Unity with Ork framework. :D Cheers! |
hmm... Unity... But GDevelop 5 is a lot better... I think. |

C'mon, there isn't the same depth of possibilities, specially with ork framework wich is all that i needed. |
Hmmm. Actually I have never used Unity... You know which is better! |

Well, i don't know what thing stops people to make 2D games with copppercube... According to me coppercube is a great platform for creating 2D side scrolling, point and click and platformer games... I have created, duck hunt, flappy bird, mario, ready steady bang, sunnyland forest, and many more games clone with coppercube and they are good... There is a 2D android app clone too named as relax melodies, which i also created from coppercube.... Some 2D and 3D screensaver for my pc... 2D is as much as creating 3D games... And you don't need too much programing..all you need is a correct camera script, textures or sprites and a lot of patience...because it takes too much time in creating 2D games with coppercube as compare to 3D games... But yes it is possible to create 2D games with coppercube... For some tutorials here is the link to my website https://neophyte.cf |
