Hi Everyone.. I need a little help here.. I Have awesome high poly of weapon, but not the texture.. And the only way is putting some normal map to it.. But when i try selecting normal mapped on material option, There's nothing happened to my weapon.. No, this isn't supported. I wish it was :( |

Of course it supported.. If we use some tricks.. Steps: -Replace the weapon texture with fully black texture -Import The weapon part as static mesh -Attach the static mesh to the animated joint -Set the static mesh to normal mapped -Done Cons: It worked for the weapon but very difficult for the hands.. With That Method, the weapon movement with the hand got delayed when the games lag (the weapon does not sychronized with the hand correctly) Now my new question is: -How to decrease the delay of animated joints so the hand and the weapons movement can be synchronized Once again.. Thanks and please fast reponse, my project's paused till i get the answer for it.. |

Well, for my case I have animated characters who aren't holding items but they have skin which would look better if they could have bumps. Yes, good idea though. I'm not sure how to fix the issue you mentioned. I'd wait for Niko to chip in and see if he would know of a solution to that. |

It's actually a platformer game. Specifically a remake of an existing game. I'm keeping the details to a minimum for now though. |

Hi, I made a CCB-test to atach a node(with normal map) to an animated mesh... and it works...! (using only simple "Ligths, NOT directional-light). Not sure if is this what you need for your project.. on the next URL i add the sample, on the folder: "atachToNode_NormalMappedObject" It also needed to activate "Double sided Material" on "Advanced settings..." on the material editor.. (maibe... because the animated-mesh have inverted normals or something...???) URL (sample): https://drive.google.com/drive/f... |

Thanks a lot for your help.. but, i mean is an animated mesh with normal map.. not a normal mapped mesh attached to animated mesh. i have a mid-poly zombie animated mesh and it will look cooler with normal map.. but, when i try to select normal mapped option, my animated mesh become invisible.. even when double-sided material is activated.. |
