Hi All... I want to embed a video in my game... What is the maximum size and is there any way that I can reduce the resolution of the video through the Javascript API? I want ti to be blurry or pixelated. Thanks, I am exploring the possibility of rebuilding the very first video game that I ever made. "Horror Ant" It takes place in an ant colony in an old cinema. A full length movie needs to be played while you go through the game. I am wondering whether this can be done with CC6. Is there any way of optimising this? Basically the Ant runs through pipes and other odds and bobs in front of an old movie... The objective is simple, dodge the other bugs and do not fall through the cracks. There will be some platform puzzle elements to it. Also, I am looking for a platformer behavior. I don't like the 3D one because it spins the view angle. Does anyone have a better option? |

Coppercube 5 can play video files but it is limited to the Windows platform... Coppercube 6 lost this function. What I can suggest is converting the movie (which I assume is short, for gameplay) to an animated GIF file, using the animated texture extension to animate the gif as a animated texture, extracting the sound from the movie as .ogg, placing a sound object that plays the movie sound, and making sure that the sound aligns with the animated texture. Otherwise, video playback IS on the coppercube roadmap... which I wish more people actually looked at. I am making a enhanced FPS camera but... it isn't suited for your game style... its more for shooter games. Have you tried the 2D Jump and Run extension? Else... I cant really help you with that part... unless you can elaborate on the "it spins the view angle". |

Its still in Coppercube 6? Then why does the roadmap say its planned? I have professional and could not find such feature... |

It supports video playback, just like CopperCube 5. What it doesn't support is mp4 playback on the Windows target (also just like CC5). You still can play back any other .avi file, as written in the documentation here: https://www.ambiera.com/coppercu... That item on the roadmap is for also supporting the .mp4 file format. |
